About the Mission:

The family of U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve Veteran Hebert C. Lingle, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Lingle passed on 23 March 2026 at the age of 82.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Lingle entered the U.S. Navy Reserve on 26 June 1961. On 8 March 1962, he was ordered to active duty, assigned to the U.S.S. Essex aircraft carrier (CVS-9), during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He served his nation 36 months, including 24 months of foreign/sea service, and was honorably discharged on 6 March 1964 with reserve obligation terminated 20 November 1966. Herbert Lingle was a member of American Legion Post # 567, Orchard Park, NY.
