About the Mission:

The family of U.S. Navy veteran Paul O. "Tag" Tagliaferri has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Tagliaferri passed on 8 March 2026 at the age of 78 surrounded by his family.

Tag entered the Navy on 9 August 1966, serving his nation for 4 years on active duty, with 3 years 1 month foreign/ sea service as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. He was assigned to the USS John F. Kennedy (CVA-47), helicopter search and rescue during Operation Spring Board at Naval Station Roosevelt Road, Puerto Rico. Tag was honorably discharged as Petty Officer 2nd Class at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, on 18 May 1970. After his service, Tag retired from the Postal Service after 30 years, and was past Commander at American Legion Post # 294.

Members will stand flag line for arriving family and dignified transfer. PGR will escort family to St. Agnes Church, Avon, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Thank you for supporting Mr. Tagliaferri and his loving family

PGR will stand a flag line for arriving cortege for Mass of Christian Burial. Thank you for standing for Mr. Tagliaferri. After Mass, PGR will escort family and their hero to St. Agnes Cemetery for military honors interment.
