About the Mission:

The family of U.S. Army Veteran William G. Irr has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Irr passed on 8 January 2026 at the age of 94, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Irr entered the Army on 28 August 1952, with Basic training at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky. He was trained as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic at Camp Breckinridge, then transferred to Fort Knox, Kentucky, to train as Track Vehicle Mechanic. He was honorably discharged at Fort Hood, Texas on 30 August 1954, and was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.

After his military service, Mr. Irr owned and operated Fawn Lake Resort, Bliss, NY for 40 years, and was a member of American Legion Post # 1672.
