About the Mission:
The family of Edward J. Callan has requested Patriot Guard Rider presence at the 100th Birthday Celebration for this WW II Veteran. Ed served from February 1944 to June 1946, and was discharged at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class, with a rating of Electricians Mate 3rd Class. During his service, he was stationed at Sampson, NY and aboard the USS Coffman, a Cannon-class destroyer escort, and the USS Blair, an Edsall-class destroyer escort. For his service, he earned the European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal with 1 bronze service star, and the World War II Victory Medal..

Special Information:
PGR members will stage at the Braddock Bay Tavern parking lot. We will then proceed to Edwards home (approx 1 mi away) and stop in front of his house. We will then escort him to Braddock Tavern where there is a reception in his honor. We will stand a flag line at the entrance as he enters the restaurant. All PGR are invited to attend the party but it is not required. Hoping the weather is suitable for bikes but if caging please fly your flags on your vehicle. Bring your clean 3x5 US or Navy flag. No water provided and please travel safe!
