About the Mission:
The family of John J. Horan, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. John, 89, passed on Monday, February 16, 2026 after a brief illness.
Born in Albany, NY, John was a 1955 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy where he lettered in football and, later in life, served as Alumni President for several years. He served in the Army National Guard of the United States and was trained as an Air Defense Aerial Weapons Crewman (MOS 192.10). He was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6) on 9 May 1964.
John was a senior sales executive and longtime employee of Moore Business Forms and, in retirement, was a Realtor for Blackman & DeStefano.
