About the Mission:

The family of U.S. Navy Veteran Paul W. Slattery has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Slattery passed at the age of 77 on 22 January 2026.

Mr. Slattery entered the Navy on 9 August 1966 and was trained as a Propulsion Engineer, serving his nation with 36 months of active duty, including 26 months foreign/sea service aboard the U.S.S Spiegl Grove (LSD-32), a Thomaston-Class Dock Landing Ship. He was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer Third Class at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia on 7 August 1969, with reserve obligations completed on 8 August 1972. Mr. Slattery was awarded a Navy - Marine Good Conduct Medal and a  National Defense Service Medal.

Special Information:

Members will stand a respectful flag line for arriving family and guests. Military honors are scheduled for 6 pm, with American Legion and Navy Honor Guard being present. Thank you for standing for Navy Veteran Paul Slattery and his loving family. There is no cemetery or escort.
